1982 D Small date. Doubling on Both sides

Discussion in 'Error Coins' started by Morris A Acuff, Dec 3, 2020.

  1. Ran across this penny. I'm not home to weigh it but best guess is Zinc. It has Doubling on Date and Liberty along with IGWT. On reverse United States, EPU? And One Cent.

Deterioration doubling. Not a Doubled Die variety.

I will wait for better photos there's 1 small date and 3 large dates known.
This one looks to either have DDD or split plate doubling.
Yes the plating blisters say it is zinc.
