GTG - 1938-D 1c

    Thanks- Well, I have had one coin go a point up from that dealer’s grade at PCGS, and one go from a 64+ on the flip to 66 at NGC, so win some lose some I guess.

    They were harsh on this one. Based on those photos, it is really hard to understand why this coin only graded MS65.

    Agreed, maybe they just really didn't like the mark on the collar. Oh well, can't win 'em all.

    I just can't believe it did not make 66 at a minimum. They seem to be grumpy over at PCGS during this whole COVID thing. I've been wanting to submit some coins, but I just don't want to burn money with grumpy graders.

    Don't worry, by the time they get to your coins, it will probably be after Christmas, and they will all be fat, drunk, and happy!

    My coins have been in finalization/encapsulation for over a week. They got there a month ago and are on business day 21. Stated turnaround time is 40 days though so I can't even complain.
