Nice proof, however I'll wager that coin is NOT graded MS 69. ...Mike p.s. I can't participate in this thread as I have no 1 of 1 coins.
That is what Mike was saying. SMS and MS are not the same thing. With regards to the rest of the thread, are you seriously asking for us to post a unique top pop coin? If you are this is going to be a very short thread. I have a nice modern nickel though. :smile
I believe the gentleman said it was not graded MS69 - It is as it came from a Special Mint Set, albiet they are struck harder because no proofs were issued that year and they wanted these to look better than the regular issued coin. No Its not a PROOF :headbang: Yes it is an MS69 Coin :headbang: No There is no way to value it so I guessed for insurance purposes and would have a tough time proving what I valued it at as there is no precedent ...
Nice 1994p there Lehigh96 ... I also have that one in SMS - MS70 I was trying to find the picture but I am at work
nice jeffersons, I have a registry set of 67 war nickles, but no one of one. I dropped a few places since they added the 43/2p to the list, well, another reason for me to get one!
This coin here is currently a pop 1/0 at PCGS for the "inverted mintmark" variety. However, in searching Heritage auction archives, I know there is at least one example graded higher that is in a regular holder w/o the variety attributed. I wonder if the owner even knows the "S" is upside down??? Hard for some folks to imagine an upside down "S" but once you see it in hand it's pretty clear.
