Well, as usual I need help, searching for 3 hours looking for a match for this quite nice Macrinus coin, many Deitys sitting holding snakes & corn ears but I frustratingly can not place a Reference for this coin...? All my usual reference sites have been no use... Missing about half of its inscription lettering but enough to make a match if one is located! I do have this info: Macrinus AE24mm 6g. Marcianopolis Mosia Inferior Homonoia Seated Unsure if location & Deity is correct though?
Yes, I believe you did... Thank U thank u! And in record time as I put this post up not 15min ago! I will certainly be adding a bookmark for your research site as I did not have this one, so helpful, I can always count on this forum to know what I don't...
Also Moushmov 524: "Homonoia with kalathos (hat), seated, holding patera and cornucopiae." For some reason, Wildwinds shows a photo of a coin with Homonoia standing on the reverse, but Moushmov describes her as seated and refers to a photo depicting her as seated. Plate IX, #9 - It looks like yours may be a reverse die match to the one in the catalog.
Yes, I'm glad that you noticed and pointed that out, Wildwinds must be mistaken as that is one of my first research stops and did not notice anything...
