Anyone care to guess the grade or the price I paid. BTW, is it possible to dip one side of a coin?

Yep! I have done it actually. Roll a q-tip over the obverse of the coin. Do it VERY carefully.

You paid about $35 for it.

Are you sure you want to dip it? I cannot tell for sure what is on the slab and what is on the coin, but there appear to be a lot of scratches on that for a 65.

Can you dip? I am sure you can come up with a dozen ways just to dip one side. The one that keeps coming to my mind is to set it on a sponge in a bowl where the sponge is just above the liquid level.

No way am I going to dip it. Forget about the scratches, I am worried about what is lurking underneath that toning. If I dip it, the obverse surfaces might resemble the moon when I am done. In addition, I would have to have this $30 coin re-slabbed, no thanks. I will just leave it alone and only look at the reverse.

I believe that is a wise decision.
