Here is one of my all time favorite Buffalo Nickels to buy. I really blame @Paddy54 for getting me addicted to these. They can be found with really nice eye appeal for relatively little money. This one was a recent buy on eBay.

    That's a great looking FS-515.
I guessed MS66 there are few hits/contact that I think keep it out of 67.

MS 65 ....a few small hits and I'm using the same reasoning as on the Buffalo from the thread posted by @Pickin and Grinin

Nice catch! I always seem to miss that one. It appears to be a later die state FS-515.

I'll be odd man out at 67

I think the marks could be raw planchet marks that didn't strike out.

That hook protruding from the ride side should always be a dead give away. I love hunting the 38D's.

I just didn't catch that hook. There is a very small spot and die erosion running right through it. But the die file lines in the E of FIVE are there.

That is definitely the 515 one of the easiest varieties for me to identify with that hook.

That is a gorgeous coin and a gorgeous photo.

I'm at 65, due to the marks on the buffalo's shoulder.

No reveal has been made yet. I have not confirmed anyone's guess either. Just the variety that happened to slip by me. Which I guess can happen as I've been away from the game for nearly 2 years. ;)

We will get you back on track. I haven't seen many 38D's lately to cherry pick them. An omm almost triples the value.

These are the artifacts of why you need to flaten the staples.
