Back in 2001 my wife and I went to a coin dealer and bought a 1oz gold coin, then went to a jeweler/artist and discussed making a necklace for it. Even though the obverse image would be very appropriate for her, she liked the reverse image better. This is the result. I no longer have her, but I have the memory.

It was custom fitted for her, but the opening bends a bit so it would go onto many necks. As-is, might be a bit wide and sit kinda low on the neck of a smaller/slimmer person.

Nice design. It uses the metals pliability to the advantage. But i can't imagine they could do that using 24k gold, it would probably be much too soft. Is there something on the other side or inside it to give it some spring movement or did they mix it with another metal or something??

    I don't remember exactly, but it was a lower purity gold - maybe 12 or 14 K.
