Beautiful coins! I notice that the obverses of the last 4 coins have different types of animals. Wonder how many variations are out there.
@happy_collector All four coins depict St. John the Baptist holding a lamb. On the I-376a piece, there is a head of a dog at his feet. Not sure of the significance. The other three have the shield of Weinsberg.
Beautiful coins! I have some on my @ma-shops wishlist even though I'll never afford them. They're sure fun to look at
Great additions Tibor I am looking for most of those for my collection/ esp. the 1488 Demi Noble! Glad you got them, instead of the "Tyrant".
@panzerman Thanks for the kind words. The two 1488's were auctioned off a month apart. Really put a strain on the budget. Lost a 1492 ducat by 1200 Euros. I'll try to to show some others later. Would like to meet with Todd for his magic with the camera.
@panzerman This is the piece. AMS 33 #874. The piece you showed is a Swiss piece, in the league of Panzerman and Tyrant.
Thankfully the "Tyrant" is not yet into German States/ Swiss Kantons/ HRE I saw a AV 10 Goldgulden/ Hungary Wladislaus II 1506 in Pannonia Terra Auction/ nice.
