The past month I've been making trades, receiving gifts (with guilt as I have little comparable to give to some of you), and having many chats which have not resulted in deals being made :cigar::D

Now that I am back home, I can finally post the things I have gotten. If I forget someone, please forgive me!

First I will start with @Penny Luster who generously gave me a handful of world coins, of which quite a number fit nicely in my collection. I do not have a photo of them, sorry. I did also receive a cigar box which fits PCGS slabs nicely, ANACS, though? Not so much. :D:yack:. i got a near full roll of LWCs in years a needed, primarily 1920s, from her and I am soooo much closer to finishing up.
Some of my PCGS coins in the box:

Aaaaaand... with ANACS. You can see the morgan dollar she also gifted me. Really, it was way too kind and I have no words to thank her justly!

CT member @Heavymetal was so kind as to help me fill out more of my Canadian cent collection. I've been working on that for 8 years or so, mostly with just my circulation finds which are pretty frequent as I am so close to Quebec. Those have not come in the mail yet, but there are some Newfoundland cents and the small cents of the 20s and early 30s in there too. I am extremely close to finishing that set! I am looking for the best way to display it so any suggestions would be nice.

And @lordmarcovan himself was interested in my capped bust love token. Really, it was the nicest love token I had ever seen. I traded her away though, and got an 1832 half from him. Being able to chat with him was nice and I am glad I could get him something he would like, and that he could help me out too! Here is my new half, his photos, as I am lazy :)

I also got ahold of a nice Australian 3 pence, 1926. And a Winston Churchill crown, a coin which I thought I had but do not!

To close out, I really want to say thank you to everyone here who is so kind as to contact me and conversate with me, and I am blessed to have discovered so many people with large enough hearts to further me in this hobby. Really, it makes me rather emotional.

    With much love!

I think I already made a post of it, but @SchwaVB57 helped me out with LWCs too, ANA grading book, and some more. I think that is the last one, but I may be wrong.

Thanks for your message :woot: I don’t know what to say! I never fit in with children my age. I loved to be with my grandparents and spent a lot of time volunteering primarily at veterans homes and nursing homes. I am an old man in a young body and just wish I had more people in my age group like me. Your comment fills me with joy and I am glad I can keep up with all of you.

I aspire for a job in this hobby but do not know where to start. Looking for an LCS to be involved with but worried about my age.

My job as a manager at the grocery store was awful because 1, I got promoted to a harder job for the same pay. 2, I was harassed as a “stupid teen” who “couldn’t be manager” because of my age and perceived intelligence.

My age is a detriment as no one expects me to be the way I am.

Your gratitude has been well noted. You have been blessed with gifts because of who you are. Welcome it and enjoy it. Being different in teen years is very difficult, so ignore those that try to put you down and relish those that build you up.

LoL I spent over 35 years in the retail grocery business. It isn't by any means an easy job.
Ive done it all in the business...and I am now still in the food business going on 52 years.
It certainly not a job for everyone....people dont understand that in retail when the front door opens one never knows who is going to walks through.
I have enough stories to write a book! No kidding some very funny....some quit tragic.
I've done cpr on a customer, I've been shot at.....ive have witness the very best of human behavior and and worse, ive watched a 5 y/o just drop trousers and take a dump in the middle of isle 5.
And just when you think you seen it all......guess what no ya haven't!
Just wait a minuite and the next bullgoose Looney walks in.....people dont get it they treat you like your their servant. No or little respect.

That reminds me of myself at your age and growing up. I preferred adults to other kids.
