i have here an 1893 cc morgan dollar?? and seems to appear to be a weak c?? i have never seen a cc like this before and want to know more about it like its value and more info on it thanks! if someone really knows something about it let me know so i can e-mail u pics of it thanks
Snake, Welcome to Coin Talk! We would really need for you to post some pics here of the coin before we make any assessment of the coin or the Mintmark. The 1893-CC Morgan Dollar is a Key Date and fairly valuable even in lower grades. We first need to try to determine if the coin is genuine or not and then analize the "CC" Mintmark. There are some VAM's (Van Allen - Marris Varieties) of Morgan Dollars based on the Mintmark but we would need to see pictures of the coin and compare those to known VAM's for the Date and Mint. Also, it would be best if you could also provide the exact weight of the coin in grams as this will help in determining authenticity! Frank
