So, I have some die markers that are keeping me from nailing down the VAM for this Morgan. VAM 5 has some die scratches coming from wing tip 2.
But this also matches some of the markers for VAM 11. The bar on the second 8 is barely there, and it does have the polishing marks from eagles neck to wing. I didn't have enough time last night to make a match.

Please vote in the poll if you don't want to type your opinion.

Pretty, I voted 63. They can be pretty strict on the common dates, so could be even lower.

I'm at MS63. There are too many hits on the cheek and the field below the chin to go in higher IMHO. Lovely coin.

MS64, not fully struck over the ear and a significant scratch in front of it should certainly preclude a gem grade. As @bradgator2 mentioned, they are very strict on common date Morgan Dollars.

Yes, this is a very flashy and eye catching Morgan.
    Thank you,
I wish I had another light, as one of my Jansco lights went out. This would have helped as I could have puled back a little on the other lights, and used the fourth to highlight other areas, change some of the camera settings etc.

Honestly, this was my first thought too...but since it wasn't an option I went MS63. The coin does appear to have booming luster which I suspect is making the hits look worse than they actually are.

I think, strong strike especially the cap and floral, brilliant luster and great feather definition on reverse.
    MS-64.

Look at the post again CamaroDMD, MS-62 appears at the bottom of the list. I hesitated also but settled on 62. Good luck

Well...I missed that. Haha. I thought they were in order. I'm gonna stick with MS63. I picked it originally and I will live with that. LOL.

I tend to side with @CamaroDMD on MS63 due to the hits.
