1982 D - DDO Doubled Ear?

Hi everyone. Was hunting penny coin rolls and came across this Lincoln double ear. What are your thoughts. Photos attached.

All I see is md it has taken alot of hits in its almost 40 year lifetime. I think you are mistaking the hair pattern and damage for a doubled ear.

 

It should look like this look right underneath the first ear do you see it?

 

This is a photo of the 84, not an 82 though.

 

It says 1982 / this type doesn't just appear on the 1984 and 82 alot of other cents have this same type of doubled ear but they all look a little different from each other.

Your title states Doubled Ear but you post states double ear.. Your title is correct

All I see is circulation damage. Not a Doubled Die issue.

Welcome to CT @Ray Franklin. I think you may be confusing the PMD on your coin for a doubled ear. If you study the type you should see that your coin is just damage and not a doubled ear, as shown in the posted examples. Good luck on the hunt.

 

Does not look like a Double ear, damaged i think but good luck hunting.
