The Official Clembo hits 5000 posts contest

Step right up and enter folks it's the OFFICIAL Clembo hits 5000 posts contest!

Now as I type this I'm at 4980 posts and 4981 after I start the contest but I'll be at 5000 I figure by the time it ends. Two momentous occasions at once. My 5000th post and my second anniversary on CT will fall at nearly the same time.

Factor this in with the alignment of the planets, price of gas and the fact that, as I'm now doing, I can rant about nothing for hours and you've got a contest!

Now the prizes:

First Prize will be a note LIKE this. In other words this is an example. Your note will also be a 1957 CU star Silver Certificate.

Second Prize will be this 2003-S Silver Proof Kennedy Half Dollar. Looks better in person actually.

Third Prize will be a note LIKE this. In other words this an example (sound familiar?). Your note will also be a 1957B CU Silver Certificate.

Now for the rules.

1) I reserve the right to end this contest at any time I feel like it. If I do prizes will be rewarded barring any catastrophic events in my life.
2) I actually plan to end it on February 28, 2009 as that is my CT two year anniversary.
3) Anything you say, can and will, be used against you in a court of law.
4) Make sure your peanut butter is safe before consuming it. If I find you haven't you will be summarily disqualified.
5) VOID where PROHIBITED.
6) All entrants must be members of the human race and reside on planet earth.
7) If you are NOT a member of the human race or do NOT reside on the planet earth (or both) refer to rule number 6.
8) Please bear in mind that in Zimbabwian dollars the prizes are worth a roughly a GAZILLION dollars. Think carefully if you actually want to own such valueable items before entering the contest.
9) Upon entering this contest anything you say about how awesome I am will not be a factor but it would be really cool.
10) If anyone actually does know the average air speed velocity of an unladen swallow (be it African or European) please share with the class. This will not help you win but once again it would be really cool.
11) Bribery is accepted and encouraged.
12) You are not to go swimming within an hour of having eaten. You'll get cramps and possibley drown. If I find that you have you will be summarily disqualified.
13) Mods and Admins etc of CT are allowed to read this thread but are NOT allowed to enter. It's in da rules I think. You can comment if need be but keep it clean guys.
14) Always wear clean underwear in case you're in an accident.
15) Please read all rules above before continuing to the REALLY IMPORTANT RULES.












16) Entering is simple. Just post.
Your name will be recorded and you need only enter once.
At the end of the contest ALL contestants will have their names written on a slip and names will be drawn from a paper bag by either Vanna White or Mrs. Clembo. Most likely the latter.
17) If, for some reason, you are not satisfied with your prize should you be a winner - TOUGH BEANS! It's free.

What if the accident was REALLY scary! And kinda made you do something...and...and...wouldn't it just be better not to wear any at all?

Hey, Mr. Clembo - I'm ready and able to receive your prize(s).

Now, some of your rules (#4 & #12) remind me of my dear late mother. She always insisted on me drinking "fresh" orange juice (it was always concentrate too, BTW) - hmmm, why wouldn't I? I didn't want stale OJ. On the other hand, after my parents divorced and I was living with my Dad, he would rarely remove anything from the refrigerator no matter how old. So, on occasion, I would pour a glass of orange juice that definitely had a certain zing that must have been reflective of the fermintation process!

She was also slavish to what the doctor ordered. So, if I was ill and on an antibotic that was to be given every 4 hours, then she would awaken me in the middle of the night to take the medicine!

Ah, well......I think I turned out alright.
