    The '9' and '4' bothers me. They do not look like that shown for the variety in the source above. The tip of the 9 caught my eye as it didn't look like the one in the book which had increased in thickness and the top of the 4 not as displaced. I think it is MD. IMO, Jim

    I’m sorry but my opinion is no. The tell tale signs of this variety is the 8 and the 4 (I have one somewhere in my mess). There are no listed die markers for a crack under the bust. This appears (to me) to be DDD.

    Just looked on there and wow, it;s no wonder most of us get confused, totally different images to VV. Plus VV has 8 listed DDO's to Wexler's 3
    Thanks for your input, back to looking tomorrow, only about 300 more to examine.
