The "Coin Uno" or "Follow the Leader" game (World Coins edition)

An odd coin appeared yesterday. It appears to be a 1906 GB penny in silver.
Weighs 9.52 grams (9.45 gm). Figures in parenthesis are from Numista. Diameter 30.765mm (30.8), Thickness 1.63mm (1.6mm). So it is a bit heavy and thick, which might account for the extra if it is plated, however the diameter is under rather than over spec. There is a scratch mark at about 4 O'clock on the reverse, which I imagine was to test the metal. It does not show bronze, only silver, though it is not very deep. I do not want to mutilate or destroy the coin in testing. When dropped on the desk top it does have the ring of silver.
Any ideas?

Interesting, Ed - @coin_nut ! I'm looking at my KM SCWC (2016 - 43rd edition), 1901-2000 - page 990. It says for a 1906 penny (KM 794.2) - 9.40 grams, bronze (CuSn), 31 millimeters. So, I don't think the diameter or thickness are too out of wack - or not within acceptable ranges. The weight seems a little off but not by much. I don't see anything under Piedfort, Trial Strikes, Patterns, Maundry Sets, Mint Sets or Proof Sets that could explain a silver penny. Intriguing. The only thing I can think to do is taking some time to figure out the density - https://en.numista.com/numisdoc/determining-the-metal-of-a-coin-27.html. Let us (me!) know what you figure out.

EDIT - just popped into my head. Did you check if it's magnetic? Obvious test but I frequently forget. Like just now.
