Found a USA S minted coin with what appears to be a die crack...

Taken on my phone to get entire coin...

Nice coin, not sure about the die crack, though. What is the size and material?

Here are some closer pictures... Don't know anything about the coin other than it was minted in the US in SF in 1944.

The line is raised. It goes from the rim at just between the 6 o'clock and 7 o'clock position and runs to the right side of the banner.

It weighs 5.21 grams. Looks like copper, but...

    Thanks Expat!!

I'm going through a bunch of different coins from various countries. My grandfather was a Merchant Marine during WWII and stuck with it for a time afterwards.

Over time I will investigate their make and other characteristics better. Just saw this one with a die crack and thought I'd share.

I appreciate you getting this information.

It's a One Centavo.. not Centavos.
Centavo is singular Centavos is plural.

So when you look at the higher denominations of the same coins for the Philippines minted for that time they add the letter S after Centavo.

    Thanks Paddy!! lol.

I know... I got carried away with consonants. Centavos is plural. Great catch though.

Yup, I have a few higher denominations which demonstrate the plurality, Centavos. Hey, congrats on your 39,000.
