expat Remember you are unique, just like everyone else Supporter

Variety Vista has 2 listed and Wexler has multiple listings but for a rotated MM. This looks like 1980-D-002 on VV. http://varietyvista.com/02b LC RPMs Vol 2/1980DRPM002.htm
The photos on VV are a bit dark on the outer edges of the MM so not absolutely sure, what do you guys think?

Interesting but I am inclined to call it die deterioration.

Danomite What do you say uh-huh

I agree with @Pickin and Grinin. The placement is a little off and no split serif on the upper part of the D.

The MM RPM you indicate in VV is a west oriented anomaly... Yours appears to be a northwest RPM if it existed on VV... Not sure if a RPM with a "hit" or what... Interesting...

Anytime the MM is defined on both sides of the device...
It is DDD. this example is no exception.

I was wondering if that appearance was from a hit...

Just outta curiosity, what would a RPM with MD or DDD look like? Would the DDD or MD obliterate the RPM?

I wish I had it saved. There is an example out there that shows a good representation of a 69's DDO, but it was rejected because of Mechanical doubling.
