Medallions ?, where do they go ? Who has last years' one ? NFL hall of Fame, maybe ? If not there, then where ?
I think maybe the winning team gets the toss coin. I've seen a few on display in Pittsburgh, but there was no mention of year, game or anything...just the coin. Guy~
what happens.................................. ..............this site has some info for you but i don't know if it helps that much. steve http://www.cfnews13.com/News/Local/2008/1/21/super_bowl_coin_made_at_brevard_county_mint.html
Hey Grizz, that linki was perfect. I had been wanting a coin from last years super bowl, but could never find one. The link you provided, provided another link to the actual company the is making the super bowl commemorative coins. The only disappointing thing is that I was hoping for a nice 1 oz silver coin. Instead, their gold and silver coin is an overlay which is a minute amount of silver - basically nothing on top of the super bowl medallion. For $69, it is not worth it. They also had a gold overlay one for $29 and a bronze one for $19. I guess the prices would be the same for this years coins as well.
