There is a coin show in St. Louis in 2 weeks. Normally they advertise the shows in Numismatic News, and you can find info about them on the internet. But this time, nothing. I got a flyer in the mail a couple of days ago and that is the first I've heard of it. Anyway, I think I'll probably go even though I didn't have enough notice to save up much money. Anyone else going?
I'd go if it were closer. Never been to a coin show. I live in Southwest MO. Hopefully, there will be one in the Springfield area that I could attend although I'd not know how I'd find out about one here. Maybe one of the coin shops in Springfield would know...
I only get to about 3-4 shows a year. Rochester MN has one in the winter (next Sun) and one in the fall. I also go to the one in Decorah IA every Aug. They have a lot of coin shows in the MSP-St. Paul metro area but I am always too busy to go.
I don't know of any coming up in Springfield, but I have seen Springfield, MO coin shows advertised in the back of Numismatic News before. You should consider making the drive to one of the shows in St. Charles (Right outside of STL) some time. They put on some good shows there, and usually have one in the summer and one in the fall.
Thanks, Adam. I generally drive to St Louis a couple times a year. Try and go to at least one Cardinal game a year. I was up there last September, I think, for the Balloon fest in Forest Park and stayed in a hotel in St. Charles. I'll try and plan future trips that way to coincide with a show. Thank you for alerting me to these shows.:smile
No problem. I try to make 2 or 3 Cards games a year, but usually only get to one. Usually the St. Charles shows are in July or August and then October. So the summer show might be a good chance to drive up for a weekend and hit the show and a ballgame. I'll post the shows here ahead of time as I hear about them. I hope to see you there some time.
February 13, 14 and 15 at the airport Hilton. There are supposed to be 110 dealers. I'm not sure what day I'm going yet.
Hey guys. I think I'm going to attend this show. I think I'm going to try to take a half day off work and go Friday afternoon. Hope to see you all there!
Just wanted to give this thread a bump. Hopefully the show turns out to be a good one. It's usually a very nice show with lots of variety.
Just one of the many places that list coin shows. This is one of the best. However, note that many smaller shows are around but not listed here since no one notifies them of that show. So try Yahoo, Google, etc for coin shows. Another thing to remember is don't just type in your state. If you live near another state you may find a coin show closer in another state. Or you could just move to Illinois. We have 3 coin shows within 15 miles of my house every month. Many others but if farther than that, I'm to lazy. My favorite one is the farthest and that is the 15 mile from me one.
