What do you think this 1889 cc will grade at?

    Looks to be cleaned but I will go xf40-45 not seeing any luster has that polished/cleaned look to it i wouldn't buy a coin like this raw.

    cc morgans are almost the most faked type out there in the morgan series.

    Sell has a low feedback rating and you have an 1889 CC not in a top TPG slab. There's always a reason a coin like this isn't in a slab. Sorry.

    The coin onced toned has been over dipped. Thru the haze you can see where the toning was the heaviest. I would pass remember CC's were made from the best ore.
    The comstock silver was some of the best silver known.
    I pass and wait out a better specimen.

    Yep, it looks cleaned (dipped) to me.

    Fakeroo IMHO. The stars, lettering, and date are "mushy" and not well-defined like on a genuine coin.

    And that's another factor.
    The coin has too much value to buy raw.
    Why isn't it slabbed to prove authenticity?
