I agree with the others, this coin is undergraded by today's standards and is quite lovely.

As for resubmitting it...if you're going to flip it go ahead. If your going to keep it, then I would leave it alone.

I bet of my graded Morgsns and Peace dollars that better than 60% would by todays stsndards would upgrade. And Im being consertive on that 60 % as many are in slabs that I never would crack....and ive never bought into the cac thing ,that wouldn't come into play as they wouldnt sticker the slabs they are in.
We all have seen that coin ......I recall an raw seated quarter at a show. Now it was in a dealers book not his case.....with better coins. 1st. Sign but it went over my head....as this quarter was absolutely perfect......until .....you flipped the plastic page and you liked to have a heart attack.....a huge X cut the reverse.......unbelievable.
However Justin has always has had a good eye......there are a few members here I would love to walk a coin show with.....and @jtlee321 you be one of my first choices!

Here are the scenarios that most likely could occur for this Peace Dollar. First, it will take a trip to CAC, $15.00 for the opinion of an expert who was an original founder of PCGS and NGC. If it goes Gold, it stays in it's holder with the CAC sticker. To me having a coin in an undergraded holder with a gold CAC sticker that confirms my feeling, is a bragging right. ;)

If the coin only gets a Green Sticker, then it might, might get cracked and submitted along with a whole handful of other raw coins I have that need to be graded. I never seem to get around to sending coins in for grading, as I would rather spend the money on more coins.

@Paddy54 I'm right there with you in terms of having a whole bunch of coins in older holders that I would never want to see cracked out. I would love to go to a coin show with you. I have not been to a show in 2 years now, so I'm really itching. Unfortunately, with COVID, most shows are cancelled around here with the exception of the smaller ones.

Let us know, this has created a bit of suspense.:)

I do wonder if the CT grading was influenced by the comments early on that the quality of photography was going to make for undergrading.:)

Really attractive peace dollar, whatever it is.

It's definitely going to CAC on my next submission. Unfortunately, it just missed the trip this time. I will update when it goes, which will be very soon.
