I spent a good chunk of hours scouring my SS's past threads and coin purchasing venues and was able to narrow down to 3 options... I purchased all 3 (I dig all 3 coins as well) and will make the final determination when I have them in hand in a week or so. This process of learning more about our fellow CT members, paired with searching for the perfect gift coin and giving back to others is such a fun and exhilarating thing. Thank you Curtis for managing all this! If you need a hand at all, reach out. I'm sure many of us would love to help in any way we can!

Thanks for the offers of help everyone. A great group we have here! I'll let you guys and gals know if something comes up and I need some help.:)

In about a week or so I will be responding to everyone with the next round of Secret Santa assignments so there is still plenty of time to get back to me with your info to make that group.

I would also once again encourage any of our international members not to be shy. This is a global event and we have already had lots of participants from around the world join and plenty of members in the US say they are willing to ship international.

How true. I've been participating (from France) the last 5 or 6 years (maybe more), shipping all over the world, receiving gifts from all over the world, with no issue at all. Only the pleasure of nice gestures from fellow collectors. And the shipping cost is nothing compared to the smile I imagine on someone's face when they open a parcel brought by Secret Santa !!!!

Come on folks, it's a lot of fun an friendship !

I'd like to participate. I have a coin or three I'd like to see go to a good home, but I don't know how to private message here.

While working today from my unfinished basement (it's the only place I can get some quiet in the house while working) my wife called down and said my coin arrived in the mail. I was really puzzled because I ordered a coin on Monday and it is coming from London. When I surfaced for a coffee break I looked at the envelope and :woot::woot::woot::woot::woot: it wasn't my coin from England but a Secret Saturnalia gift! To my Secret Saturn thank you so much! I can't wait to open the envelope and see what is inside.

On a related note the coin I ordered for SS is winging it's way across the Atlantic. Hopefully U.S. Customs is on the top of their game and it clears quickly.

Wow that has to be some kind of a record for fastest draw on a coin gift.

I’m going to bump this thread again in case anyone missed it.

I’ll be making the second round of pairings later this week so still time to get signed up!

    Io Saturnalia!!!!

I received a package in yesterday's mail marked for Saturnalia. This, I believe, is the earliest I have ever received a Saturnalia gift in the few years we have been doing this. Thanks to my Secret Saturn. Rest assured I will be waiting (anxiously) for 17 December before I open it.

BTW, I have purchased and received the gift I plan to present for Saturnalia. I will be mailing it off very shortly. This was a hard one for me as I know so very little about my giftee.

Wow it seems like people are taking no chances of a mail delay this year.

I too have just received in the mail the coin (carefully) chosen for my giftee. I'm very pleased with it and hopefully they will too. I will send out ASAP

I've been so busy and with no time haven't perused the board much. Totally missed seeing this thread . . . glad I did though as I just sent my PM.

    Hope everyone is well.

Just for the purpose of bumping this thread up to page one : I've been to the post office this morning, braving the rain and the lockdown, to posting a parcel for my giftee. Hope they get it on time, the post service has been veeeery sloooow lately here

As info I’ll be making the next round of pairings and getting back with everyone by Saturday.

If you are on the fence about joining the fun this year please put in your name in the proverbial hat sooner rather than later as it is much easier to do anonymous and random pairings with a larger participant group.

We seem to have several regular contributors that haven’t been on the board in several weeks so I’m hoping some of them at least have a chance to see this thread if they pop in over the weekend! :nailbiting:

@Curtisimo hows the participation this year shaping up so far? Seems to me like less interest due to the lack of posts on this thread :(, but I hope I’m wrong.
