Hey everybody. I bought 5 "unsearched and uncleaned" ancient coins for $2 bucks each.
These two I cleaned with vinegar and a toothbrush.
Can you guys please attribute them for me. :)
(I am only posting the two that are in the best shape)

I think they are real I might of over cleaned them though. But then again I know absolutely nothing about ancients. :)
I am open to opinions though so I would like to here what everyone else thinks.

Even if they are fake what are these coins & what are their values assuming they are real?

    Thanks

Why questioning? (trying to expend my knowledge) I don't like the looks of the lines on the 2nd one fields.

Yeah I dont like the lines either. But hopefully they are real. These things had A TON of crud on them though.

For one, $2 a coin, they look too good, The portraits are off and the lettering appears to be cast.

Freaky: Is that corrosion/verdigris or just dirt you haven't gotten off? Just wondering for terms of authenticy.

The 2nd one I think is just corrosion. The 1st one had some green but I do believer I killed it all.

Would it help if I post pics of the others?

How long did the cleaning take?

another reason why I am saying fake...didn't take long enough.

A cleaning could take as little as five minutes or as long as a few months. It all depends on the dirt/encrustations and the cleaning methods. But those two are fake.

Over an 1 hour for the first two.
Two of the next three ones I will post I removed a couple hours ago once I realized they were crap, but one of them i have been working on all day with multiple chemicals, physical methods, etc.

I like the Chi Rho (not seen a fake one of these before ) but have no idea who that is suppose to be on the other side LOL The last pics they look like normal slugs

Ok so that sucks pretty bad. Thankfully not to bad of a loss.
What are they supposed to be BTW?
So the seller is throwing in a couple that look good but are fake and then tossing in a couple of genuine blobs? Wow he will get slammed on feedback at the very least.

Get your money back if you can, before feedback.

I will be sure to get my money back. That is absolute crap.
I dont care if it was only 10 bucks, I would rather have a big mac, a large fry, and a medium Dr. Pepper than 2 fakes and 3 absolutely terrible blobs.
