I will be at an auction tomorrow. They are going to sale a lot with all of the US Mint Proof Sets from 1963 to 2000. What would something like this be worth if they are all in their original packages?

CDN bid is always a good starting place but for some reason they usually go much higher in auctions.

    Tater,

There is no way we could give a price range without knowing exactly what is there! There could be all Clad Proof Sets above 1964, or there could be some Silver Sets or maybe even some Prestige Sets. Also, without knowing if they are with or without there original packaging, have or don't have COA's or are or are not unopened, there is still no way to put a price range on them. I suggest that you printout the PCGS Price Guide list for the Proof Sets and take it with you. When you get to the auction, try to find out what is there and put a check by them on the list and then tally the price. Since PCGS somewhat runs high on prices, you might want to tally the price and then subtract 5 or 10% and see where the bidding goes. However, sealed/unopened Proof Sets generally fetch premiums well above most pricing guides.
