that doesnt even make sense. A picture of obama on a slab.
I'm sorry, but this has gone too far and is beyond pathetic.

I guess plan B isn't that far down the road.

Is it really that far of a stretch. After all, they (meaning not me) voted him into office so why shouldn't they have a slabbed coin to remember the occasion. Besides, it might end up being the last dollar they have to their name some day.

I think the "they" in the OP was PCGS. They (PCGS) is ion business to make money. The more of those they sell, the less it should cost us (real collectors) to buy a real coin.

I really worded that badly. I was trying to defend PCGS by stating how the people who voted for Obama will probably be enamored by this coin and buy it. If Obama sees this, he will probably call it part of his economic stimulus package. Glad to see somebody profiting from his Presidency!

its not just the slab though. Its the t-shirts the rap songs the purses, the ect; just walk in a mall or gas station and you'll see what I mean. Obama is more than a president, its a brand name. I am a sophmore in high-school and so many kids have teenage style (gangster style or tight-fitting girl shirts) that have obama logos and pictures. Its more than who you want to win presidency, its a fashion statement now. My teachers even have obama posters and signs in their classroom. I don't remember any Bush rap songs or any of this other stuff. I've noticed something from my school, no one knows why they wanted obama to win, and if they did it was based on skin color and everyone else are sheep.

There will be a whole bunch of people profit from his presidency, just not the ones I think should be profiting. I will leave it at that before this becomes political.

We will see how those posters look after 4 years. Not as good as my toned coins I predict.

Definitely not. I've seen some of your posts and boy do you have some amazing toners.

Sorry that I went too far with political crap.

Does anyone know if that actually came from PCGS like that or did someone just put stickers on a PCGS slab? Also, the Coin Policy on Ebay stipulates that if you are selling a graded slabbed coin and you put the grade in the title, you MUST show pics of the front & back of the slab, to include the label that shows the grade and grading company. This listing fails to meet that requirement and can be reported for such. ;)

Ha, yeah I hear books of Obama's speeches in japanese are selling like hot cakes in tokyo, I didn't vote for him myself, but who knows....

I don't know. You may have hit something there. Seems strange that the label does not mention PCGS nor even give a number. I also noticed that there is no grade given for the coin.

"A fool and his money are soon parted." We can always JUST SAY NO to buying such junk (and if it is treasure to you, I mean no disrespect, enjoy!).

We are in a time of economic crisis so any change is going to be embraced by the people. I'm all for Obama, but I do think that slab is pushing it.

Call me a sucker but if the slab had a grade I would buy it.

I am thinking about buying one just to have a reason to use my hammer.

there we go, that's my kind of thinkin! I would definintly use the hammer method. And then probably the hack saw method. Then the slingshot method. Or instead of the slingshot, I would use the rocketship method.

Notice, no grade on label, no date on label, not even an identification of the coin on the label, no PCGS on label. I VERY strongly that this is just a label put on it after it came from PCGS.

Sorry Toad but it doesn't violate the policy. He didn't put a grade in the title and he is not selling it as a graded slabbed coin, so he doesn't have to have front and back pics.
