I would take the morgans because I like large silver coins. The old eyes aren't good enough to fully appreciate worn cents.
Iam a collector more then a investor by far. I would take the Morgan...Would be good for the collection.
The answer. If you took the set of Morgan dollars you are a collector. If you took the wheat cents you are a investor. If you bought them in April 2007 and sold them in Oct. 2008 you would have made a little over 16% for your investment in Morgan dollars on the other hand if you had bought Wheat cents you would have made about 25.5% on your investment.
I would say I must be a Dealer as a Set of Morgans in Certified MS-60 condition with one 1893S would do me just fine. The 75 G4 Lincoln Sets would be best left to share with others.
I don't know how one would tell with that question. I like Morgans, so I'd go with them. Of course, the set I already have is in higher grade, but I like them far more than Lincolns in any grade. Guy~
Good point! I would want the Morgans for their eye appeal (g4 is unappealing unless were talking a chain-cent of something). I am both collector and investor. So far every coin I sold I lost on but that's because I only sold them back to my dealer and I needed the cash. I plan on selling on eBay soon once I finish their inventory into my side business and then will sell my lower value coins that I have since upgraded, so that will make me more of an investor I guess.
