Where is Spock when you need him? Maybe that's why he got dethroned? But Emperor Ardy is falling down on the job too. Do I smell a coup de'ta brewing? Ribbit Ps: I hope CT Politics aren't off limits?
I don't know about you guys but I'm stunned to hear these are stickers and that no advertiser ever mentions that little detail! Not that I care too much because I happen to think the coins are silly-looking, anyway. But the build-up they give these things and they don't even mention that? I wonder where the CAC stickers go on these, probably on the reverse, huh? Or in keeping with the consensus, here...duh?
Don't forget the Hawaii quarters, too, they've got a special sticker for those, he evidently was born there. I think he had a distant aunt in Toledo, too, who took him to a ballgame once, so the Ohio quarters are probably going to be next. What the hell, they're all history, get them while you still can!
I wonder if the company which made the stickers had some made for John McCain, in case he won the election?
When i first saw this thread, i was sure it was typo, as no sane human being could be unhappy to own such an important piece of history!
I suppose so Eddie but the Hawaii quarters are more easily accesible in bulk right now. What's really funny is that we had so many Washington dollars that we were tripping over the darn things. A dealer offered $1.20 each and we happily shipped him 2800 (that we had paid face for). Now you can order tnem from the mint in increments of $250 (I believe the limit is $500) for face value and free shipping. Of course the guy doesn't care. He's making a killing on this garbage.
Personally, Dan, I think these are ridiculous. More gimmick or stunt, than "coin." BTW, I picked up a $10 roll of Hawaii quarters from the bank last month. Now where can I get a pack of those stickers from?
It might still be too heavy, aside which African Swallows don't migrate. But the Grey Thrashers might. Ruben
