Buyer Unhappy With Obama Coins

Too bad we don't have a "Duh!" forum to post to.

A woman paid National Collectors Mint $75 for 4 Obama Quarters and Half Dollars to add to her collection of Presidential coins. She was happy with them until her daughter took them to school for Show-And-Tell:

Wow, $75...I knew they were just stickers but I had no idea they were so expensive.

Maybe cuz she bought 4? I dont even tell my family and friends i collect coins for fear i would recieve one of those abominations as a gift...

 

Come on lady, do your homework.
If I had those I would pay someone to take it. No, I would cut it into four pieces and throw each piece as hard as I can, all in opposite directions.

maybe I'd use a baseball bat. Or a sling shot, or I will glue it to a rocket ship and send it to Kenya.

Gee stickers on a severely overpriced coin now that's a surprise. NOT.!!!

I've mentioned this in other threads but some "dealers" have been paying top dollar for Illinois quarters, Kennedy halfs and Washington dollars. Anyone wonder why?

 

There is a sticker born every minute. I can't help but feel those folks with so much Obama dust in their eyes somehow deserve this. Let's hope for the sake of the nation that this does not become symbolic for the entire coming 4 years....

Back to topic. Last Sat I was at the coin shop in LaCrosse WI and a couple stopped in to see if they had any Obama coins. The dealer politely explained to them that he didn't have any cuz Obama coins are nothing more than souvenir pieces and not of numismatic value.

 

$75 for a $3 investment (4 quarters and 4 Halfs) is a 2500% profit, oops forgot the price of the sticker so subtract a quarter.
