Wow I’m completely lost! Can anyone help me please? I have a 50 pence piece 2014 with errors both sides of the coin. It has my interest. I would like someone to take a look if possible please and let me know what they think. I would be very grateful. Thank you
@Sharon Kingston It would be advisable to start your thread on the error coins page. Before you upload your photos make sure they are in focus and are cropped to remove the background. When you upload them click the Full Image button for each image, members can then enlarge them to better see the query you have regarding your coin. If you can show a clear close up of the area in question as well. A concise question accompanying them and you are ready to get the full benefit of the accumulated wisdom of the members here. I have a 1982 D error penny. Its the small date coin. It looks to have double die on the 2 in the date and the D on mint mark letter. Does anyone know if this is the error penny ? Thank you.
I have a small date 1982D penny. It weighs 3.1 grams and has double die errors. Is this the rare error coin?
Hi and welcome to CT. You will get more response and attention if you create your post in an appropriate forum such as Error coins or US coins. You MUST provide clear, in focus photos posted as Full Image of both sides and close ups of any specific areas you want us to evaluate.
Hi welcome to CT. A black background is fine. Using a cell phone camera is more than adequate. Steady it on a coffee mug to avoid any shaking and raise the coin on something till it fills the viewing screen and is in focus. Save to a folder. When you create a post at the bottom is a button UPLOAD A FILE, Click it and choose your image. When it is uploaded to your post click on the button FULL SIZE for each image. Then click on POST REPLY and you are done.
I got this from a soda machine in New Jersey years ago. It has no luster at all but the features are there including the ridges on the edge. It weighs .2 ox on a postal scale and the soda machine recognized it as a quarter. I saw something on another site about an acid washed coin but that coin was corroded. How do I figure out what this is?
