2009 uhr double eagle ????

One ounce 24k .9999 UHR - $1189, comes in a nice hardwood box with brass fittings

One ounce 24K .9999 Buffalo - $1097, comes in a nice cardboard box.

I haven't seen a lot of fussing about the price of Buffalos which are just bullion coins. Why should there be angst about the extra $92 for a UHR in a quality box?

I don't know the exact specs on the UHR but if the Buffalo is one ounce and the UHR is one ounce, but twice as thick, that means the UHC will be the same diameter as the current $25 one-half ounce gold, or around 27mm. This smaller diameter might be a little disappointing when actually seen in-hand.

Because I am a coin collector, not a box collector.

I would love to use that extra $92 to buy coins.
