Can anyone help me with this coin. Found many years ago with detector but other than that I cant find any info in english to help me out. A value would be nice to know also.
Thats great to know, but can you give me detail since you know its a medal. Thanks I would love to show you a pic, but I don't own the coin I just posted it for the idividual. He claims it in pretty good shape but the ship/boat is a little on the smooth side and since this is the coin with the exact detail. It would most likely be better to post a drawing.
I know it's medal more because of what it doesn't have than it what it does have. And that's mainly because I use dto collect French coinage of the period and am quite familiar with it. This I know it is not a coin. And I can tell it is a medal and not a jeton because of the legends. Since you seem to be the only one that cares or has the knowlege of such medals. Good you give me a ball park figure on what you think it would be worth? The condition I would say it would be in good to VG.
I have no idea of what it might be worth. Medals can range in value from under $5 to over thousands. The only person who can tell you what it might be worth would be someone who specializes in medals of that time frame and from that country. But if you search the links I have provided you might be able to find it yourself.
