The top and bottom pics look the same. It's hard to say without seeing the coin in hand. I've never heard of a U.S. coin actually struck with two obverse dies. I suspect they would make the dies so they only fit the correct way...but that's just a guess.

on the bottom pic I believe there is a seam there. hard to notice, but I think I see it.
It's more evident on the bottom left.
See on the bottom left, the seam ?

masterswimmer A Caretaker, can't take it with me

The top and bottom pic also give the appearance of a doubled die date.

I can't speak to the same obv on both sides of the coin.

    It's a magician's coin - without a doubt.

I think the seam is on the 2nd photo of the obv.

Yep.. Altered Nickel. Not a Mint Error of any kind..
I've seen these made very well.

Keep your titles shorter and explain what you want to say on your first post..

No there is not a seam anywhere I look this thing over a million times I've done the drop test it does have a ring to it I tried slamming it down to separate it it does not it weighs 4.84 G there's no seams anywhere I swear I gave this thing a very good look over I do know my error coins and I know what to look for I got a ton of different types of error coins and I'm dead serious this thing does not have a seam anywhere which got me really puzzled I got a few magician coins myself and if you slam it hard enough it will separate and then you will have to have of a coin I get that I've done that with multiple of the coined that are magician coin I have but this baby right here in town does not separate at all which had got me up in the air wondering if it's a true mint error I appreciate everybody's thoughts opinions

Have you tried the 'drop test' ?

Drop the nickel on any hard surface,
and compare the 'ring' of it to a normal
    nickel.

Your coin will have a different 'ring' or
    'thud' sound to it.

    Let us know......

#1 & #3 are the same image, #2 is not. I hope you have a rare mint error there.

Is there a way I can upload hey short vi
I dropped it compared to a nother nickel of the same year it does not have the same exact ring to it but it does have a ring to it it don't have a thud and there is no seam on either side of the coin and I have looked up two-headed coins online there have been I think three known that was graded by PCGS 1 from 2000 I don't remember the other years but there have been two tailed quarters as well that are genuine it just kind of odd that this coin is from the 2000 as well as the genuine two-headed nickel from the year 2000

This was made from two separate nickels by someone with good skills.
If you study the minting process, you’ll find that the chances of two obverse working dies coming together to press a coin are basically zero.

There have been a few genuine double headed nickels struck at the moment they have been graded by PCGS so there is a very good possibility I don't have my hopes up for it but if it turned out to be that would be awesome it would add one more super rare coin to the list of super rare coins out there in the world

If it doesn't have the same ring,
    then it's a man-made novelty item -

    A magician's coin - nothing more

It has a ring to it it's just not the same ring as the nickel I am dropping could it possibly be from the difference in weight I really don't know I am really good with my errors Discerning what's real what's fake what man-made was not and with there being no seams on the coin and the weight being pretty close to a genuine nickel of the year it has got me puzzled

"Just not the same ring' = magician's coin

I'll make my usual offer in these cases -

Submit the coin to any of the top three authentication
    services (PCGS, NGC, ANACS) -

If your Nickel comes back as a genuine Mint Error
Two Headed coin, I will pay ALL of your submission
    fees and postage -

So, you have absolutely no risk whatsoever -

Please let us know when and who you send it to,
and the results, and my check or PayPal payment
will go out to you with 10 minutes of you showing
in a holder as a genuine Error Coin.

    What say you?

    David,
You’re hearing from THE expert on these. Fred Weinberg has sold two of them (although they were reverse dies).

If you’re still confident enough, I’d suggest sending it in.

Yeah I know all about Fred Weinberg I read up on his find and I've heard his name through the coin collecting community and through articles I've looked over he has came across a lot of rare coins and yes I am definitely still convinced this coin is legitimate there are no seams the wait is 4.84 grams it does have a ring sound to it when you drop it it looks good
