Hey guys I just joined the forum and this is my first post. I wanted to share a coin my uncle got me last Christmas. I think it’s cool to have an error VDB coin, especially graded MS64RD!

What do you guys think? :)

    Thanks!
Yeah it’s my first error coin.

Frankly I’m more of a pre-WW2 American silver coin collector. Morgan’s, Seated Libertys, etc.,

I just didn’t want to be rude to my uncle and tell him that.

He put the note inside a pretty cool book called “100 Greatest American Currency Notes”.

It was cool opening the book and having the note slide out.

All I'll say is of course we suspect what you mean... But language matters.

It's not to say we won't make mistakes and have typos and use words inappropriately. When we do and are called on in use it as learning lesson and move on...

Yes we knew but we are sticklers for the correct terminology. A very nice coin. I wish I had one.

Welcome to CT @Gam3rBlake. As I'm sure you know, most professions and hobbies have their own language, so using it to be precise can go a long way. On this forum, individuals that constantly post incorrect terms and poorly worded posts, loose credibility fairly quickly, so reminders like you have received are viewed as helpful suggestion. Sure we, and we know who we are, can get a bit carried away, but you'll learn that if you stick around.

Speaking of using things on this forum, my harp is posting photographs, so I usually post the following:
You should always post in focus FULL IMAGE photos (after you upload your photo, two buttons appear: Thumbnail and Full Image, click Full Image and your photo appears full size on your post and is easily enlarged by clicking on it). Photograph coins on neutral backgrounds like black, grey, or white. Crop out superfluous background so just the coin shows, and post photos with correct orientation so members don't have to turn their computer in some awkward fashion to view it properly. While it isn’t always necessary, it is nice to show both the obverse and reverse, even if your question is just about one side. Members can often give more valuable information having both sides to evaluate. Add close ups of areas you have questions about and make your questions as definitive as possible so we know what you are asking for. And try to have the best lighting possible to show the most favorable photo of the coin. Hope this helps in the future. Good luck.
