First Cud I've found in quite awhile. 1984 is my birth year and this one is in really nice shape for being pulled from circulation.
    Thanks for looking :)

I wish I could find the 84P Doubled ear. That's my White Whale!

Isn't there usually some weakness in the strike on the opposite side from the cud? Just asking not sure...

Congrats! Thanks for sharing, I didn’t know 1984 was so prolific with cuds. This is really close to yours:

A zincoln with nice eye appeal and an error as well. Now that is quite an uncommon find @furryfrog02.

Depending on the size of the cud, there will be weakness on the other side of of the coin (reverse in this case) where the metal flowed into the cud. This one is pretty small and the weakness doesn't really show on it. If you look at some larger examples you will see that sometimes design elements will be missing on the other side where the cud broke off.

1982, 1983, and 1984 are the years that I have found most of my cuds. I think it probably has something to do with the switch from the copper planchets to the zinc. Just a guess though.

Great find. Better airtight seal it to keep it's natural beauty. Zincoln's can turn very ugly if circulated. I'm zealous but glad for you thanks for posting the coin. good luck.
