ha it was just a good coin mine had coins and mickey mouse where is the art in just publishing coins i think i should be called the pioneer and be sent the coin you are trying to get from leadfoot
Wow, just read back over this thread. Some of the words used were esoteric. (I know a big word or two also.) Re-imaging my coins. Started with the lowest face value coins in my type set. I've worked my way up to the dimes so far. Now I'm going to "poof" and start on them.
Your very sanguine but I will not allow your impetus apparition to diswayed me from a judicious assessment of the exemplification of the works themselves when casting my vote.
Ruben, For my own edification, is "impetus" supposed to be impetuous? And "diswayed" supposed to be dissuade?
Another twist on this is that I think one of the reasons CoinTalk has blossomed so nicely is that I never tried to make it about me. While I do own the website, I don't "own" it. I think a lot of other communities were setup as an ego trip, because they got thrown off a popular forum, or just to support a business. I don't mean to point fingers, or trash any others, but for example the PCGS forum is obviously there to support its main business. Of course there's good and bad in each format, and a forum to support a business obviously has a place, but I think the reason CoinTalk stands out is because it's about the community, not about any single individual or business interest.
dissuade yes. Impetus no, but maybe I'm using the wrong form of the word. To drive and force forward, sometimes recklessly... Ruben
No - wrong word. Its Imputus... someone has the Imputus to impliment a policy or Imputus physics, to thrust, such as in the kinetic molecular theory
Peter - quit derailing our hijack of this thread to tease Ruben! You've created a wonderful thing here Peter and I thank you.
I give. Have no idea what you are looking for except that there is no word imputus. Impetus is a noun meaning momentum; impelling force; an impulse with no adjectival form of the word.
There's always one in the crowd, CB. Now, back to our regular scheduled program -Ruben's Restaurant! Ribbit
watch it... I'll flood the US coins section with US Mint facts and silver prices, making it all but unusable... Ruben
Morgan Dollars? Are those a coin? Gee, I never heard of them. Are they new?:smile:whistle: So where else can you find all those smiling faces?
