That was 75K sold out very shortly after going on sale. My question is ....will there be that kind of interest in the WWII silver medal that goes on sale next week? $75 for 1oz silver medal and only 20,000 mintage.
I'm very curious, too! Much lower mintage . . . but not an ASE; not even a coin. If I'm a buyer, it would only be to flip it, unlike today's coin which I'm keeping. Anyone know what the "pre-sale" market for these look like on eBay or elsewhere?
These medals are kind of hard to explain to the "casual collector" while most folks recognize an ASE silver dollar coin. The Big Boys might figure they could have a hard time unloading these. I smell a dud here. The mint might have these available for weeks or months.
This one was limited to 50.000 but weighed 2.5 oz. selling for about $150 - $200. Original price: $175
I doubt it. One is an ASE that was a first of it's kind, the other is a medal that routinely have minatages very small and most don't sell out. It's not a design that jumps out at me saying this will be a must have. There's only one modern mint medal design I can really think of that was
Ya gotta be a 'medal person' to appreciate these. Add 'silver' to the medal option and a collector of such regards things much more enticing. I might pull the cord on one with no worries of it selling out in the first 15 minutes.

IMO, too many of these rando silver coins to generate good sales for any of them. Probably didn't help putting Corporal Klinger on the obverse.
