In my opinion, It looks like a George III imitation halfpence.

you're on the right track... it's the denticles that made me think it a bit special...

 

Or it could be the real deal but the bust looks a little funny though .

 

Well I suck at waiting so here we go.... looking at the very regular triangle denticles, I thought I had Machin's mills immitation half penny... only one problem....


They didn't make a 1773... 71,72,74,75 yes but no 73s

 

So. It's a normal King George 3 ??

 

oh i still think it's an colonial copy (no shortage), just not a machin's mills
