    There are a few bag marks on the coin, but not in focal areas.
    Though crusty and dark. There is plenty of luster on this one to make the 66 grade IMO.

    I guessed 65 ...it looked gem but I thought the toning was hiding something to go higher.

    I didn’t guess less than gem, but your photos seem to be hiding the luster which you say is very good. I think that is probably the reason for the low guesses.

    I agree it is a pain to shoot. To get the surface details the coin ends up being too dark.

    I find Washington Quarters one of the tougher series to photograph

    LOL, Yeah I kind of felt like that yesterday.
    Remodeling, you never know if your gonna open a can of worms.
    Yesterday was one of them.

    I did a lot of renovations over the years and there were a lot of cans of worms in those old walls...but found several coins, mostly mercury dimes, a standing lib. quarter, and a few old cents under the baseboards.
