2009 Britannia - Chariot Design

This design has been used twice before (1997 and 1999)





Here is a proof 1997 version.




I honestly would prefer to see new designs every year like with the Pandas, Kangaroos and Kookaburras.

But seeing as I don't have a 97 or 99 Britannia...I will be buying this in proof when it is released.

I think it's a beautiful design and it looks stunning in the proof version!!

 

I still havent goten one of these yet, dont know which design I like the most, but this one looks great

I think the release date in July actually.

I remember that last year it was July.

Hey, Randy, if you are looking for any of these, just drop me a line. I have a friend who has a whole collection of these plus other world silver coins that he is trying to sell. I don't know if he had this exact date, but I know he has a near complete collection of these. Thanks I'll have to wait till I get more money though spent a lil over my budget(its not hard to do since its not that much lol). I also got a Japanese Shu (Kazi period) today.

I think the standing britannia is the least fave design.


To go on the coin store websites I visit...90% of the britannias they have are the standing design.

2003 I will own within the next month....in a 4 box proof set.


Spink 2008 book says £90...these are listed at £95.

Not one set is below £130 on ebay.

Next payday I will buy these...so please noboddy nab em

No, just one oz coins. He has them from England, Australia, Mexico and China.... at least those were the ones I were interested in and didn't pay attention to the others, if there were any. He may have some Chinese and Australia 1/2 oz silver bullion pieces but I believe that was it, but I will check this weekend. I spoke with him tonight and I am looking to meet up with him this weekend. Unfortunately, I don't have money either and don't get paid for another two weeks. I need to go out and pimp myself! :kewl:

 

EddyK, that set is ggggggorgeous! If you don't get it let me know because I will gladly rescue that baby. I bought my first 4 coin set this past year and was extremely happy with it. Mexico has a 5 coin set and I just bought the 2008 set. That set is probably now my most favorite foreign set! Those sets aren't cheap either as the older sets go for some ching ching.
