Die Clashed 1972 25¢

    Most die clashed coins show the clash in the field of coin. This one is a bit different.
    Here is a good specimen of a deep die clash, as the design transfer show mostly on the reverse design elements and not on the field. The reverse die has been heavily abraded to remove the clash mark to the point it nearly only remains on the design.

    Left side shows outside edge of pony tail, curve of hair bun and the V at the top where it meets back of head.
    Right side shows the line from neck to chin and then up to bottom of nose.

    Oh yeah, I had seen this site mentioned before. Thanks for the reminder. In reading I found my coin is an Atypical Clash which makes it "Uncommon".
    Just that is good to know.
