$$$$$83$$$$ because of a PRIVY MARK????? And for the Moderators the "F" is a Battle Star Galactica FRACK lol but Really $83 FRACKING DOLLARS!!!!!! [Edited. Nope, you don’t get away with that abbreviation you previously used. ~Mod.]
I terminated my ASE collection as of this year. I will not get one. I terminated all silver coin sets I have. I have been buying from the mint since 1959 and will stop.
I have people buying the "W" quarter from me on eBay for $100.00 each. Sold a roll of "W" quarters for $822.00. Granted those were only $20.55 each, but still. I wouldn't pay that much, but people do.
$24 spot today 20-25 on top so 45 -50 would be fair, but I can not justify almost $100 for a non circulating non proof coin
Imagine being enslaved to the notion of a collection having to consist of complete sets... Define your own collection. Don’t let the Mint, dealers, the Red Book, or a folder tell you what is required in your collection. You will be much happier that way.
Still an empty hole in the 16D Merc book at my house. Found one in 1965 at age 16 Had to sell in 1970 to afford a house trailer Just shoot me. VG but what’d I know
And here I thought the "F" was a Christmas Story "Fudge." If you let the Mint's sales department determine your collecting habits, eventually you will be disapponted and become rather jaded. Once you break free of that habit you'll find lots of other things to add to your collection. I still buy a bullion ASE every year for my Dansco. I'll buy two next year, but I'll need a new page for the Dansco to get me through to 2029.
Well I have no idea what this post is about or what yall are going on about. Battlestar Galactica, the mint Ws. The spot price... who knows. Too many dollar signs, it tacky No Doubt... Ohhhh just went to the mint website to look they priced the V75 silver eagle. So the V75 silver eagle price is the topic. Jeesh $10 more than the regular proof SAE and I'm sure the $10 goes to a good cause.. hahaha.
It's a 75k mintage for the ASE and people will hoard them. It's a pretty unique item. The US mint doesn't use privy marks much. Dealers will hoard them. Why not try to get one? They'll be worth multiples on the aftermarket of what the mint is going to sell them for. I'll buy one if I can.
Someone is gonna get caught holding the hot potato this time around. Greedy greedy greedy peoples.....
Most definitely. But it also prolly won't be the fellow that managed to get it direct from the mint for $83. Very doubtful it ever goes down from there very much . . . probably not at all.
