I'm having a tough night. In fact, this past month has kicked my butt and my severe anxiety condition is acting up. I rarely start threads, rather browse and learn from others, but I need a distraction. 1904 O Morgan dollar- which was my first slabbed coin I purchased in 2014 or so (+/-). Like I noted, she is in a PCGS holder, straight grade. No prizes but the satisfaction that you got it right Apologies for graininess radiating from the center of the coin- my little microscope isn't perfect but it works better than my phone.
A nice coin for sure, and the lack of contact marks leads me to believe it would merit an MS-64 designation.
I see the cut on the jaw, I got good eyesight. But I still think this lustrous old gal went gem. MS65.
No! I noticed that 2 days ago when I brought her from home to campus. Now that you mention it I am noticing even more. Does anyone have more info on this? By the way, she is MS-64 and thanks for playing
Taking a look at the VAM listings, I find a few with a similar die break but I think my die break is at an earlier stage than this listing. I am not especially interested in VAMs but I am rather intrigued to see what I have. Look at the reverse, what I see along the lettering on the right side in the example is much more prominent than my coin. Any advice my friends?
