20201028_132008.jpg 20201028_131923.jpg So for the past few years I've been collecting change. I've collected change based off of my eyesight. If it looks like it could be worth something or have an error I saved it. I just now purchased a scale and a few scopes to zoom in and I will be posting a lot more when they arrive. That being said, I recently found a dollar in circulation. It's not in the greatest condition, but I noticed several errors. I saved it. Then I realized it was a star note! Cool! I looked it up, and it's rare. They only printed 250k. So based off the errors and how rare it is, I was hoping someone could tell me what they believe it could be worth. Please and thank you!

Sorry about the quality, my camera on my phone is messed up. I have to use the front camera.

    I'd say that's a keeper... Or a good seller... maybe $10-15

Maybe less, maybe more... The condition says it all

Awesome! My first post could be worth something! That's a good sign for my other saved coins. Thank you!

Also, have any of you ever ironed out the wrinkles? Or is that a bad idea? I don't want to ruin it more than it already is.

Just stay and wait for more responses... I don't know everything so don't take my word just yet... If others agree then take my word

NO! Never do anything to a note... the only thing you can do is ruin it

Its so heavily circulated not really desirable in that condition i would say $20-$30 tops but it is whatever someone is willing to pay for it

Really $20-30? That more than I assumed... I guess his find is better than I thought

Thanks all for the information! I figured that was a bad idea. When I get the equipment I can take better pictures of the errors I think it has. One is how misaligned it is. The fact it almost has no boarder on the bottom face caught my eye but the numbers are all out of whack too and the ink looks like it bleed through on the back. I'm so excited I found a definite keeper!

Asking prices are not a good measure of a note’s value. Check SOLD prices to get a better idea of current trends and prices. The 2017 $1 Minneapolis Star is a good find and the key star note for the series.

I have seen ebay listings at $10k and I know there are coins worth that, but everything I've ever looked up seems to have that price. I never took ebay listings seriously at all. However, I guess sold listings are a pretty good indicator of value. Do you watch them until they sell or is there a sold section you can view?

Always look at the lowest prices... they're more accurate

@MatthewH With no disrespect to any other posts, @SteveInTampa & @mpcusa would be my go to when needed. There are others but these two always come first to mind.
