This is cool but if they're collectible they're not collectible... know what I mean?

I got a roll of each of the first issue - 2018. I used them to provide one in each Great Grand Childs type set. Never got any more.

Not exactly an award winning design, sigh....

    It’s a pretty mediocre design

It's possible. A lot of the newer, NIFC dollars end up in circulation when someone needs a few bucks.

For what it is, I think it’s alright. Pretty clever to put a rotary dial on a round coin.

but I agree most modern American coins are pretty lackluster

The modern dollar coins are useless and cost more than a dollar to get one in your collection. I stopped getting them a long time ago. Those that I have are given as tips. For example, I play golf twice a week and give them as tips at the refreshment stand. So, it is quite possible to get them in change.

I haven’t seen any innovations in change yet. A few years back when I was riding the LA subway all the time, the ticket machines always gave out change in dollar coins.

I got several NIFC Sacs and two circulated proof Presidents. So they do find their way into circulation, eventually

When I saw the first coin/medal/?, I was not impressed by a new state series. If they had been silver, I might have looked closer, but with the Mint's new prices, I don't look at this series as important. I only look at ASE's, ATB Silver Coins Set, Silver Coin Sets, and a few "one ofs". I sure wasn't going to spend money on another First Lady. I thought a lot of Mrs. Bush, but not at the Mint's price, nor the celebration of the 19th amendment, again, I believe the vote should be given to Men and Women. I, also, don't plan on buying the ASE or AGE with the 75 on them. I would like a Mayflower coin tho. Thanks to all for their info.

This design is kinda ugly but also sentimental. My grandmother used a rotary phone until like 2010 ahahah

We still have a land line and the phone on my desk where I review coins is rotary style with push buttons. On the wall in the kitchen is the same type dressed as the old crank phone.

Dunno man, I'm liking the design. I saw these starting to appear on Ebay about a week or so ago.

Are they dumping any into circulation or is this just another "Isle of Man" or "Niue Island" issue?

I sure hope it is the former. I am tired of those.

I actually like the design, would definitely add it to my collection.

While this design may not be the favorite of most, for some reason, I like it! Wonder what they used to use for Q and Z. I don't see those letters.

The United States Mint employs some of the best artists. While most of the designs thus far are less than par, they fall within the selected subject. Judging the talent by this program alone is discrediting to say the least. Emily Damstra did an outstanding job on the Massachusetts.
