This should be very interesting coin for everyone to grade. As always, your comments and opinions of the coin are encouraged. And no, I do not own the coin.

I kind a dig the fingerprint and the eagle looks like he was in a serious fight.

I voted for MS-65, even with the hit on the tail.

The colors are great, but I don't hink that NGC is great with colors.

So, even tho I voted 65, I think that NGC graded it 63.

A definite upgrade possibility, send it to PCGS, they like color better.

I'm not sure if it's the toning that's making the lettering look weak or just my old eyes, but I will have to say MS-61. :D

It's been 2 days - only 2 posts and 7 votes so far. So what's up with this one ???? Normally Lehigh's polls like this are buried in posts in 2 days

I voted MS63. It looks like there are some noticeable hits on Liberty's cheek a couple pretty good sized hits on the Eagle on the reverse. The toning makes it hard to get a good look at the fields, but based on the hits I can see, I'd imagine this coin is bag marked up...possibly to the extent of being below MS63. It also looks like it has a finger print to the left of Liberty. But, I can't see if it has more marks so I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt. Plus, with the nice toning...I'd imagine that NGC might bump it a point or so. So, I'm going with MS63.

I don't see many hits on the obv, so I'll guess 64.

I think it is a solid MS-63. I feel that their are too many hits on this one. I however feel that where it is toned, rather attractive, and where the majority of the hits are on the reverse NGC gave it a 64. Is it me or does a coin with a nice obverse but with a doggie reverse gets a higher grade than a coin with a doggie obverse and killer reverse? Just thought, not saying this coin is a dog, you always post some killer coins, I'd look at it and maybe buy if the price was right.

I can't vote because I've already seen this coin. I do like the fingerprint-as odd as it sounds. It almost looks like she is speaking in sonar.

That is what I was waiting for. Normally, I find fingerprints very distracting, but this one kinda looks cool to me. I don't know why, but the fingerprint makes the coin IMO. The toning is very unusual and I like the obverse, but man that reverse is rough.

Voted 64. While I think it should be 63-64, I bet the graders gave it the bump to 64 due to the toning.

great color IMO, but the reverse has too many hits to get above a 63. An intriguing coin nonetheless.

Lehigh's photos are way big. I'll say MS64.

I'm scared to guess on this one -- could really be anywere.

Obverse looks pretty clean. Fingerprint notwithstanding.

Reverse has some pretty deep digs on the eagle -- where they typically occur.

I voted 63, but don't feel confident at all with my assessment.

    OK,

    Here we go:

An interesting coin and one that is very difficult to grade because of the disparity in surface preservation between the obverse and reverse. Personally, I would grade the coin MS63, but I love the fingerprint and toning on the obverse.

Interesting coin with some unique characteristics. By the time I opened up the thread, the answer was posted, but i would have guessed MS63. I have never seen a fingerprint on a coin that I actually liked, but this may be a first!

wow I think we shared the same opinion of this one. Just for myself could you post a pic of the reverse at the same scale as the above posted obverse.

    thanks

BTW nice peace dollar even with a finger print.
