    Hey everybody I was looking through my Hawaii Washington quarters for errors and I found some weird writing below his nick anybody know that this is ??

    Does the OP mean below the base of the neck or on the base of the neck?

    It makes it tough when you have to be an interpreter.

    The initials are for John Flanngan, original designer and William Cousins, sculptor-engraver (who did the redesign on the obverse).
