Taking decent photos is a challenge for me. Going to post images I have in hopes that I can get some clarity about the coin.
    Thanks

I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.

Not sure what you mean by 'markings',
but all I see are bag marks or contact
marks from the coin being jostled in a
    bag of newly minted coins.

Well I certainly see them, but that almost certainly means they're not there...

Hello Benjamin and welcome to Coin Talk
Your post was answered by @Fred Weinberg , top error expert and author. Google him if you like
These big shiny cartwheels are hard to photograph but you did pretty good. For future photos you may want to take the coin from its plastic prison

So that deep line in her tiara and hair are "bag marks or contact
    marks" ?

Looks like a die crack since the flow seems outward. IMO, Jim

Can someone please help me understand why the die break (if that's what it is) on this coin seems to be insignificant, but then there is this whole list of die breaks published-- (VAMS), and those seem to be important....

    What is the difference?

Some coins die pairings (VAMS), are only identified by cracks, but, as they are variable and change with the life of the die, should be used to verify a VAM alongside recognised die markers like the spike above the eagles right shoulder. You can check through the listings regarding the shoulder spikes and check for other listed die markers on each page

Deep Gauge in tiara, line over eagle shoulder.

Both of those areas are contact marks, imo.

Can you take a close up of the spike above eagles right shoulder. As clear and in focus as you can. Crop the image
