Any input on the 87 Morgan and 22 peace would be appreciated. Thanks!

The Morgan appears to have been harshly cleaned. The Peace dollar has been corroded and cleaned.

I'm gonna say cleaned on the Morgan (whizzed/scrubbed).

The Peace either sat in acid too long, was subjected to massive heat, or is a spark erosion counterfeit.

the surface of the peace looks funny.......perhaps it did sit in acid. The morgan does look cleaned. They are both starting to retone a little.

What kind of cleaning is that you know that creates pits all over the coin ?

Yeah, the Morgans been scrubbed, but something about that Peace looks odd to me besides the pitting, the rim looks " funny " on both obv and rev.

  10. The morgan definitely looks cleaned (I think the lines all over the surface are a pretty good indicator of that... maybe I'm thinking of something else)

Something happened to that peace dollar... absolutely more harmful than cleaning.

Boy that 22 looks like its been beat. Looks like corrosion, but I didn't think silver corroded. My guess is acid.

Both cleaned , the Peace maybe sat in salt water or in the ground .

Does silver corrode? If it does, i'm assuming it can because its not pure and mixed with copper?

Yes silver corrodes, even pure silver. Ordinary salt water - the ocean - will destory a silver coin. So will many other substances.
