The only thing replying to behavior such as you describe does is to encourage them to keep coming on for more. It's like two kids on the playground - if one simply walks away, that's the end of it. Ya know, I've often talked to people about what I do here as a moderator, not what I do as a member, but as a moderator, and do ya know how I describe it ? I describe it as babysitting the children. Because that's what it's like, only it's worse. With kids, at least most of the time, if somebody in authority tells them to stop, they'll stop. But with adults - not so. Adults seem to think that they can act any way they want to. They seem to think that all the rules about human behavior, how they were taught as kids to behave - don't apply anymore. That they can just say what they want and do what they want and get away with it.

Now in real life, face to face interactions between people, they wouldn't do that. Why ? Because in most cases they know better, they know what acting like that is going to get them - and it's usually a fist in the face. But on a forum, well that can't happen, so they just go ahead and do it anyway.

Now sure there are those who are the same face to face as they are on a forum. And they might actually start fights or get into fights on a regular basis. You know the kind of people I'm talking about, we all do. We've all seen 'em and been around 'em all our lives. But most people don't get into fights because they do know better. They know what's likely to happen if they do. Nobody ever wins in a fight, you either end up with a sore face or sore fists. So most folks do everything they can to avoid them.

And that's what the vast majority of our members are - the people who know better. They're the ones who would walk away because that's the smart thing to do. All I'm suggesting is that you do it here.

Also Meow would like to give gratitude and purrs to the many others who have been kind to Meow on this forum. Meow has learned a lot from other members here. And is happy to have members share their life and life experiences. Meow does not live in wide open country, nor lives in a place where one can metal detect. But it is very interesting to Meow to hear about it.

Do they not allow coins to be obtained from the bank in your area? Meow still gets the usual amounts week after week. Slim pickings in regard to prey, but Meow still gets rolls to search and hoard.

Thankfully, I've only had two people on this site be rude to me. I did respond to someone tho. Told `em if they knew what there were talking about, not to ask questions then. I won't do that if the future. I'll just keep my mouth shut. or, my fingers still! Ha!

I personally believe that your statement is similar to a oomparison between politicians and the electorate, being often unconstrained by a process of trust and rules.

Generally, owners of cats realize cats are smarter/controlling of their supporters, unregulated. I personally love cats, as unlike dogs, when released outdoors, their Corporal actions aren't charged to their owners.
