Posted about this coin before and was told it was a 1919 s, however I have confirmed it is a 1909-s VDB. Not sure what type of error it is, was thinking maybe a capped dieting? Was hoping someone could let me know, thanks

How did you confirm it as an 1909-S VDB?

Last time I checked, that's the only time the VDB initials were struck into the reverse of the coin, as shown

Kinda narrows it down a bit doesn't it? You're welcome

    Initials on reverse

    I don't see an "0" nor a "V.D.B.".

This coin is from the Fig Mint...of your imagination.

There doesn't appear to be enough space between the two 9's to have room for a "0". I don't buy it.

    VDB = Pareidolia

On the contrary, I disagree with you as others have. I do not see a VDB, and given the condition of the coin, I cannot see how you can, either. To me, it's PAREIDOLIA!

Kevin, so you're the one who 'confirmed' it yourself.

    Kinda what I thought.

Sir, with all respect, please re-read all the posts.

It doesn't really matter what you see. I did my best to show it, and its there. Go ahead and disagree, but that doesn't change the fact it is there. Regardless just forget i asked lol

Still haven't spend a Cent on my offers in the past,
but I'll make it again, Kevin:

Submit the coin to any of the three Recognized Authentication
Services : NGC, PCGS, or ANACS.

If your coin comes back as a 1909-S VDB, (even w/Details tag),
I will pay your postage, and submission fees.

Fair? You say it's a S-VDB, and don't believe any of us, so
please submit it, and if it's genuine, I'll pay your fees.

And, in case your reply is something like "I don't need to submit
it to PCGS or NGC because I know it's genuine", that's fine.

Post that, and I'll simply double my offer - double all the fees you've paid.
